Football NSW has confirmed its State Team selections for the 2026 National Futsal Championships, with 30 teams set to represent the state on the national stage when the tournament heads to the Gold Coast in January.
The 2026 National Futsal Championships will be held from Tuesday 13 January to Saturday 17 January 2026, with matches played across the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre and Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium.
The Championships will feature U12–U16 Boys, Youth Men, Open Men, U13, U15, U17 Girls, Youth Women, Open Women, and Open AWD (Athletes with Disabilities) Mixed divisions, reinforcing the event’s role as Australia’s premier futsal pathway competition.
Sport Inclusion NSW & ACT congratulates all athletes selected across the Football NSW squads, with particular recognition of the athletes named in the Open AWD Mixed teams. These selections reflect the continued growth of inclusive futsal pathways and the strength of club-based development across New South Wales.
Sport Inclusion NSW & ACT Director Greg Brown has played a key role in the ongoing development of inclusive futsal pathways and will serve as Head Coach of the AWD Thunder team.
“These Championships represent the highest level of futsal opportunity available nationally,” Brown said. “For athletes with disability, selection into a state team is a powerful validation of their commitment, skill, and progression through inclusive pathways.”

“The National Futsal Championships are the cornerstone of our futsal pathway, bringing together talent, community, and competition at the highest level,” Garriock said.
Football Queensland Chief Executive Officer Robert Cavallucci highlighted the broader impact of the event.
“This tournament delivers exceptional on-court competition while also providing strong community engagement and significant benefits to the region,” Cavallucci said.
Further details, including fixtures and schedules, will be released by Football Australia closer to the tournament.
