A Strong Statement for Inclusive School Sport
The championships are part of the growing commitment to creating meaningful, structured opportunities for students with intellectual disability and autism to participate, compete and connect through sport.
Events like this are helping build clear school-to-pathway opportunities across the Central Coast, with futsal rapidly becoming one of the region’s strongest participation sports within Support Units and Special Education Units.
“Today was a brilliant reflection of what inclusive school sport can achieve. Every team brought energy, sportsmanship and pride to the court. The Central Coast continues to lead the way in creating genuine opportunities for students, and we are proud to support these schools as they build stronger pathways for their athletes.” Said Greg Brown, Director Sports 4 All.
Community, Competition and Connection
The day was about far more than results. Teachers, parents and students came together to celebrate ability, encourage teamwork and create moments that students will remember long after the final whistle.
Participants showed resilience, respect and enthusiasm — values that sit at the heart of inclusive school sport.
Sports 4 All and Sport Inclusion NSW congratulate all players, teachers and support staff who made the event such a success and look forward to future competitions as the Central Coast continues to grow its inclusive sport pathway.
